YORK – Rep. Seth Grove (R-Dover) announced today West Manchester Township will receive a $313,612 grant to upgrade aging traffic signals at the intersection of West Market Street and Zarfoss Road.

“Numerous businesses, including a delivery company, are located near the intersection and their trucks, as well as employees, use it daily,” Grove said. “This grant funding will improve safety for all residents who access this intersection.”

Funding is through the state’s Green Light-Go: Pennsylvania’s Municipal Signal Partnership Program, which provides state funds for the operation and maintenance of traffic signals along critical and designated corridors on state highways.

Reimbursement grant awards through the program can be used on existing traffic signals to installing light-emitting diode (LED) technology, performing regional operations such as retiming, developing special event plans and monitoring traffic signals, as well as upgrading traffic signals to the latest technologies.
