Keefer, Grove: Get Damaged License Plates Replaced at Upcoming Event
9/21/2022
DILLSBURG – Reps. Dawn Keefer (R-Dillsburg) and Seth Grove (R-Dover) are teaming up to help constituents replace damaged or illegible license plates at an upcoming free event in Dover.

The free damaged license plate replacement event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Dover Area High School, 4500 Intermediate Ave., Dover.

The event will give residents the option to easily get new, legible license plates to replace damaged or illegal plates without even having to get out of their cars. Northern York County Regional Police will be checking the plates and determining the need for replacement.

Drivers must bring along their unexpired Pennsylvania driver’s license and current vehicle registration card. This event is only for those with standard or personalized plates. Specialty plates such as those for veterans, PA zoos, college alumni, etc. cannot be processed at this event. If you have a specialty plate with damage, you’ll need to work directly with PennDOT on a replacement.

A registration plate is deemed illegible when one or more numbers or letters cannot be recognized from 50 feet or if the registration plate shows any blistering, peeling, discoloration or loss of reflectivity.

Drivers must register in advance to attend. Motorists who live in Keefer’s district should go to repkeefer.com/events to fill out the form or call 717-432-0792 for more information. Residents of Grove’s district should go to repgrove.com to complete the registration form or call 717-767-3947 for more information.
